Wulsin Out-Raises All Opponents in 2007

Cincinnati – Dr. Victoria Wulsin, who is running to challenge Jean Schimidt for Congress in the 2nd Congressional District, filed her year-end report with the FEC today showing over $500,000 raised in 2007. Wulsin’s total was well above that of her primary opponent, and remained over $130,000 ahead of Representative Schmidt for the year.

Here We Go Again: Schmidt Votes Against Mine Safety

Despite multiple deadly accidents over the last two years, Representative Jean Schmidt failed to support the safety of working people in her district this week. Schmidt voted against HR 4986, which would require mines to install new safety equipment to prevent deadly accidents like the one at West Virginia’s Sago Mine in 2006.
